Songs of the Great Protector – Kangso

It is the extensive practice of the Dharma protector, Dorje Shugden. There are several sadhanas of Dorje Shugden: the Gem of the Heart, which is the concise one, The Wish-fulfilling Gem, which is the medium, and the practice of The Melodious Drum That Beats in All Directions, which is the extensive one. They are all practices to achieve spiritual realizations.
This practice is usually done in groups once a month in Dharma centers to fulfill our heart commitment, practice Lamrim, Loyong and Mahamudra and trust our Protector with sincerity, considering that he is inseparable from our Guru and our Personal deity and renew broken commitments. In these prayers you will find Praise to Manjushri, the yoga of Guru Je Tsongkhapa, self-generation like Heruka, among other rituals.
