Special Retreat

Meditation on Emptiness

The secret of a happy life

With Gen-la Kelsang Thubten

Buddha taught that emptiness is the real nature of everything and that understanding and meditating on emptiness brings deep inner peace and solves all our problems.

On this retreat Gen-la Thubten will explain how this works and how to meditate on emptiness successfully.

Most important, Gen-la will show how we can take the experience of meditation on emptiness into our daily life and use it in practical ways to solve our problems and bring an end to our suffering.

Through integrating the practice of emptiness into our lives we will come to enjoy deeper and deeper experiences of inner peace and happiness, until eventually we discover the lasting peace of nirvana.

This retreat is open to everyone whether or not you have previous experience of meditation.

Gen-la Thubten is renowned for his great capacity to explain the many profound meanings of Venerable Geshe-la´s books, showing at the same time how to integrate them on our daily life.

"On retreat we stop all forms of business and extraneous activities so as to emphasize a particular spiritual practice. There are three kinds of retreat: physical, verbal and mental."
