Volunteering is an ideal opportunity for you to enjoy a well-deserved break from your daily activities. You will be able to experience the Buddhist way of life in an active, enthusiastic and international community.

What I can do?

The jobs vary depending on the needs that may include: cooking, helping with gardening, cleaning, office work, crafts, etc. We also have construction and improvement projects for our facilities, so if you have specific skills, they will be very welcome.

Outside working hours you can participate in classes and meditations organized by the center. There are two free days a week to explore the surroundings or simply rest in a very quiet environment.

How long can I volunteer?

A short or long-term volunteer visit can be arranged, but will always start with a one-week trial. Volunteer visits must be booked in advance and you will be asked to provide references. We cannot accept any volunteers who have not completed the full application process.

What we provide

We will provide seven days of free accommodation in a shared dormitory and three vegetarian meals a day.

Your volunteer commitment will be 30 hours (normally spread over five days).

“I have spent some fantastic days. The community is very friendly and the atmosphere is very welcoming. I have loved the meditation classes and I have been very inspired by how these people try to put Buddha's teachings into practice to be happy. The other volunteers were friendly and fun.”
